THE OPPORTUNITY: We are currently seeking contractors to conduct disability assessments throughout the Greater Sydney region. The assessments comprise Ongoing Support Assessments (OSA), Supported Wage Scheme (SWS) and Workplace Modification Scheme (WMS) assessments.
- OSA – interview assessments that recommend to DEEWR what level of support is required for the participant to maintain their current employment
- SWS - worksite assessments, measuring/timing performance on work duties
- WMS – assessments providing recommendations and estimates for modifications to allow the participant to complete work related duties
IS THIS FOR ME? We’re seeking diploma or degree qualified health professionals, with a minimum of 2 years practical experience within the disability sector. Referral volume will not be guaranteed and is anticipated to be light, initially. This opportunity would be well suited to people seeking occasional work, a graduated return to the workforce, or for contractors looking to supplement an existing business. You will be highly motivated, with strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills and a thorough understanding of the impact of injury & disability on functional abilities. Assessment & report writing skills, and adherence to deadlines are core competencies, as there will be a strong focus on quality and timeliness of assessment and reporting. Assessments must be completed within required timeframes, though dates and times of work can be negotiated to suit all concerned. Full driving licence, own reliable transport and flexibility to conduct assessments across the region are essential. In return for your services, competitive contracting rates will be negotiated on a per completed assessment/report basis.
