In accordance with the Department of Human Services (DHS) requirements, Job Capacity Assessors are required to arrange for a specialist assessment where the necessary information for completion of the Job Capacity Asessment (JCA) does not exist, or the Job Capacity Assessor does not possess the necessary qualifications to assess the job seeker.
APM can conduct the following range of Specialist Assessments:
JCA Psychological Diagnostic Assessment
JCA Specialist Psychological Diagnostic Assessment Services are designed to identify job seekers' current mental health issues and provide psychological diagnoses and as such a medical verification of psychological conditions.
JCA IQ/WAIS Specialist Assessment
The Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) provides IQ scores to Job Capacity Assessors for completion of the Job Capacity Assessment (JCA) if necessary under Impairment Table 10.
The IQ/WAIS Specialist Assessment outlines the job seeker's presentation and participation during assessment, the details on the WAIS test administered, a table of the job seeker's results and a functional interpretation of the job seekers intellectual ability, Verbal IQ and Performance IQ.
APM also provides IQ assessment for job seekers from non-English speaking backgrounds using non-verbal IQ assessment measures.
JCA Specialist Physical Assessment
The JCA Specialist Physical Assessment is designed for Job Capacity Assessors who require additional information in respect of a Job Seeker's range of movement, functional abilities and/or work capacity for completion of a Job Capacity Assessment.
These assessments are administered by APM's qualified Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists.
