Wage subsidies provide financial incentives to employers who employ eligible job seekers with a disability or other barriers to employment. A wage subsidy can assist with the costs of wages and training during the initial months of employment.

Wage subsidies may be provided to employers to increase the competitiveness of job seekers with disability when seeking employment in open labour market conditions. They can also be used to address any additional demands an employer may perceive exist, or experience, in establishing an employee with a disability into the workplace compared to other employees.

APM can offer you the following complimentary services:

  • Explanation of the Wage Subsidy Scheme (WSS), the potential benefits to your company and details of the guidelines
  • Assistance to identify applicants and suitable positions within your company
  • Negotiate individual subsidies of up to $1650 (including GST) per worker

APM are experienced at:

  • Understanding the WSS guidelines
  • Assessing potential eligibility of employers and employees
  • Administrating the subsidy
  • Paying the subsidy directly to you
