Kingslee Smith loves his hometown of Rosewood and says he wouldn't want to work anywhere else.
Thanks to hard work, persistence and some help from APM disability employment services group, the outgoing 19-year-old has achieved his dream of being paid to do what he loves.
Kingslee, who has a disability, has worked for Rosewood Farm Supplies since December and is now one of the business's star employees.
"I love living in the little town of Rosewood and I love that work is so close to home," he said.
"I do a lot of things including sweeping, lifting bags and serving customers.
"I have fun at work and I'm here almost every day."
Before he was officially employed with the Rosewood business, Kingslee showed initiative by helping to upload supplies as they came into the store during his spare time.
Mick Orman has owned Rosewood Farm Supplies for more than 20 years and said Kingslee had become an asset to his business.
"He's always here at 7.30am waiting to start at 8am," he said.
"He's meant to knock off at 11am but that's never the case. He helps open up the shop and always helps out after his shift."
APM's Chris Jordan said Kingslee was one of their biggest success stories.
"Our goal is to help people with disabilities find a job," he said.
"It's great to see Kingslee doing so well."
Mr Orman encouraged other local businesses to give those of all abilities a go in the workplace.
"He's a fantastic worker and we wouldn't be without him now," he said.
