Nominations wanted for 2019 Professions Award

Published on 01 Jan 2019

Do you know anyone in Western Australia who deserves recognition for social, scientific or economic excellence?

APM is proud to sponsor the Professions Award at the Western Australian of the Year Awards 2019.

The ceremony is held in June 2019 but nominations for the APM sponsored prize and other top awards are open until Friday, 1 March 2019.

The Professions Award is presented in celebration of excellence resulting in major social, scientific or economic impact at a state, national or international level.

Last year, APM founder Megan Wynne presented Professor James Trevelyan with the Professions Award for his research into robotics, landmine clearance, engineering practice and education.

Other awards West Aussies can be nominated for include Aboriginal Award, Business Award, Sport Award and Youth Award.

The awards are presented as part of a weekend of events to mark WA Day on Monday, June 3 2019.

The weekend culminates in a free two-day festival at Perth’s Elizabeth Quay with free music and attractions for WA families.

In 2018 more than 100,000 visited the Celebrate WA Festival across the weekend, with APM Employment Services sponsoring an Aboriginal Art Trail next to the Swan River.

Our team of consultants also provided thousands of job seekers with information about how to access APM's services and make simple, life-changing steps to find employment.
