There are a lot of great reasons to work in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Roles in the hospitality and tourism industry are extremely diverse, fast-paced and can provide you with a great deal of flexibility in terms of work hours and work times.

Hospitality is also one of Australia’s largest employment growth areas, and it’s expected to grow by 12% over the next 5 years.  It provides work opportunities to over 824,000 people across the country.

Jobs in hospitality and tourism range from entry level positions such as bartending, waiting, food preparation, and front desk through to roles like chefs, or hotel and restaurant managers.

If you’d like to work in the hospitality and tourism industry, we can help.

According to Karen Jones, Operations Manager, we can provide registered clients with a wide range of tailored assistance to help them break into this industry.

“We work closely with local employers to get a detailed understanding of the types of roles available and the skills that are needed,” Karen said.  “We then provide our clients with access to suitable training and skills development activities to improve their chances of finding hospitality work.”

Karen said the training provided was based on local opportunities available.

“We’ve provided our clients with access to training across a wide range of areas, including Responsible Service of Alcohol, Safe Food Handling as well as Café Cooking and Barista Skills to name just a few,” Karen said.

“We may also be able to organise a work experience placement, where our clients can gain first-hand experience in a role that matches their skills and interests.”
