Helping more Australians into work

The Government has allocated APM nine regions to deliver employment services under jobactive, meaning that APM is the largest new entrant into this market.

"APM appreciates that the Australian Government has acknowledged our superior service delivery and dedication to achieving employment outcomes through this announcement," said APM's Group Chief Executive Officer Michael Hobday.

"Our 700-strong team across Australia has been successful at consistently placing people who have a disability or illness into work for a number of years and we look forward to helping more Australians than ever before to secure and maintain employment.

"Finding a job can make an enormous positive difference to the lives of people because the best form of welfare is work.

"APM's founder, Megan Wynne, has had a deep passion for helping Australians over the 21-year history of APM and her vision and ideals will continue to guide APM through this expansion of our services."

Mr Hobday said that APM is keen to forge even closer relationships with employers to ensure that their needs are met.

"Employers who work with APM will also have access to the additional resources that our partners will provide," Mr Hobday said.

"On behalf of the Government, APM is keen to assist with reducing unemployment and lifting the level of employment participation, which will benefit the economy as a whole."

The tender outcome means that APM will soon be one of the most significant providers of all employment services in Australia.
